LUKE 14: 12-14
"Then said he also to him that bade him, when thou makes a dinner or supper, call not your friends or brethren, neither your kinsmen or your rich neighbors, lest they bid you again and a recompense be made to you. But when you make a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind; for they cannot recompense you: for you shall be recompensed at the resurrection of the just."

Celebration picnic at the garden 09/08/13
After Sunday special garden service we celebrated at the garden with many people from the community that have helped with the garden. The food was awesome...many dishes were made with the vegetables from the garden.

This was a great year of harvest. Thank you to so many people that helped in the garden. The garden was able to make a significant impact on feeding the hungry in our community. (Kristi harvested from the garden to deliver to the Center of Hope and the Salvation Army.)
2012 growing season
New Life Pentecostal Church is committed to growing and delivering fruit and vegetables to provide fresh produce to all the food pantries and kitchens that
provide food to the hungry in Kankakee County. We have just received the funds to purchase the seeds for the 2012 season; also we are planning on planting
fruit trees (apples, plums, and pears, cherry). For the 2012 season we are needing 25 - 30 people to help plant, care and harvest the garden. Also we are
looking for funds for rotor tillers (large and small), lawn tractor and weed whackers, small tractor, storage shed and funds for a water well. If you would like to get involved in helping for 2012 season, please call 815-258-1163, instead of the phone number on the sign above.
